Softball Manitoba 2023 Competition Introduction Clinics - Register Today

 

Softball Manitoba will be hosting two virtual Competition Introduction Clinics in 2023. This course is required for all Head and Assistant Coaches at the AAA and AA level. Please review the information below as to what you require to coach your respective team.

 

Requirement for all coaching staff (Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Managers) attending an AA or AAA Minor Provincial Championship:

All coaching staff, including the manager, must complete the Respect in Sport course to be eligible to participate in any of the Softball Manitoba Minor Provincial Championships. Information to complete this 3-hour on-line course can be found here.

 

Requirement for the Head Coach of a team attending U13 AAA or AA Minor Provincial Championship:

  • Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 1
  • Ongoing Participation Community Softball: Trained
  • Multi-Sport Module: Making Ethical Decisions + Online Evaluation

Requirement for the Head Coach & Assistant Coaches of a team attending a U15, U17, and U19 AAA or AA Minor Provincial Championship:

  • The Head Coach is Competition Introduction: Certified 
    • Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 1
    • Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 2
    • Competition Introduction Virtual Modules (all three)
    • Competition Introduction In-person Weekend
    • Competition Introduction Evaluation 
    • Multi-Sport Module: Making Ethical Decisions
    • Making Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation
  • Assistant Coaches are Competition Introduction: Trained
    • Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 1
    • Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 2
    • Competition Introduction Virtual Modules (all three)
    • Competition Introduction In-person Weekend
    • Multi-Sport Module: Making Ethical Decisions
    • Making Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation

NOTE: ALL COACHES AND MANAGERS MUST HAVE THEIR RESPECT IN SPORT CERTIFICATION WITHIN THE LAST 5 YEARS IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER WITH SOFTBALL MANITOBA. ONLY REGISTERED COACHING STAFF ARE ALLOWED ON A TEAMS BENCH. FOR MORE INFORMATION CLICK HERE.
