Bonivital U17As compete at Manitoba Softball Provincials

Bonivital Softball's U17A teams competed in the Softball Manitoba Provincials July 14-16 in LaSalle.

Flash 'Blue' and 'Green' were among 15 teams from across the province vying for the top title in the tournament at the Caisse Community Centre.

Each team finished the 4-game qualifying round in the top-4 of their pools and advanced to the playoff round Sunday morning.

The Bonivital squads were the only Winnipeg teams in the tournament to qualify for the playoffs.

Both teams were eliminated after hard fought games in the quarter-finals Sunday morning. Flash 'Blue' played Morden and Flash 'Green' squared off against Steinbach.

The run at Provincials caps off a remarkable season for Bonivital's U17s: the 'Blue' team placed first in Bonivital's tournament in June and in the CRSL playoff tournament in July.
